The Debate About Affirmative Action

It can be very easy to tie a black student's failure to his or her being an affirmative-action admit ("Does Affirmative Action Hurt Black Law Students?," The Chronicle, November 12). Mainly because universities misuse affirmative action and admit poor students, it is almost guaranteed that some percentage of these students will at some point fail or transfer out.
