'The Day After Tomorrow'
WHAT IT IS: A disaster movie in which global warming paradoxically triggers an ice age by changing ocean currents. A maverick climate scientist (Dennis Quaid) has the only computer model capable of predicting the chill, and he tries to warn of the catastrophe.
