The Changing Role of Accreditation
To the Editor:
I never take lightly any observations Jane V. Wellman makes. She is an astute observer of higher education, and she probably understands the role of accreditation in higher education as well as anyone outside of the accrediting community. Therefore, I was surprised by the substance and tone of her comments in "Accreditors Have to See Past 'Learning Outcomes'" (The Review, September 22).
