The Campus Chapel as an Interfaith Laboratory
Last month the White House sent a message to all 4,000 or so college and university presidents in the United States. That's not, in itself, so remarkable. But the substance of the message may have surprised some of its recipients.
Because it's not a call to improve America's scientific prowess or its economic competitiveness. Instead, the message urges higher education to lead the way in bringing interfaith cooperation to local service efforts, as part of the President's Interfaith
