The Best Place for God in Academe May Not Be the College Chapel

I'm a little troubled by the Point of View essay by Donna Schaper ("Me-First 'Spirituality' Is a Sorry Substitute for Organized Religion on Campuses," August 18). I'm not sure what target Ms. Schaper was aiming at in her article, but I think she missed it and took out a few innocent bystanders instead. Her loose usage of the terms "spirituality" and "religion" set off a number of alarms for me. ...
