As young performers seek Broadway stardom, their options for academic training in music theater are better than ever.
This summer 19 eager students were selected from four times as many applicants for "boot camp for Broadway," as the New School billed its first Summer Music Theater Immersion Experience. For 15 exhausting days in June, dance class began at 8 a.m. sharp, followed by two or three hours of acting, an afternoon-long master class led by a working professional, a roundtable
