The Ambiguity of 'Social Justice'

The decision by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education to drop controversial language about social justice from its accrediting standards was prompted in part by a concern that the term "social justice" is so elastic that it could be used to discriminate against individuals who fail to subscribe to a given institution's interpretation of the phrase ("Accreditor of Education Schools Drops Controversial 'Social Justice' Language," The Chronicle, June
