Several articles related to the National Collegiate Athletic Association and college athletics have recently appeared in The Chronicle. "The New Face of College Sports" (January 11) focused on the recruitment of international athletes and made the point that "coaches argue that they need to look abroad because there are not enough elite American players to go around."
