Texas Weighs Bill to Allow Graduates of Online Law Schools to Take Bar Exam
Online law schools may soon get newfound respect in Texas.
The state Legislature is considering a bill that would allow graduates of online law schools to take the Texas bar exam, provided they have passed another state's bar exam. Today such graduates can take the Texas exam only if they have been practicing law in another state for at least five years.
Only a handful of states allow graduates of distance-learning law schools to take the bar exam after completing another
