Texas Colleges Still Lag in Enrolling Hispanic Students, Report Says
Austin, Tex.
Despite years of aggressive recruiting, Texas colleges and universities are still enrolling far too few Hispanic students to meet statewide diversity goals set in 2000, according to a report approved on Thursday by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and posted online this afternoon.
Hispanic enrollment would have to nearly double by 2015 to meet the goal of having at least 5.7
