Texas Colleges Can't Bar Professors' Testimony

A federal judge has barred Texas universities from enforcing a state law designed to prevent professors from testifying as experts in suits against the state.

The ruling expands on a decision that the judge issued in 1997, and that a federal appeals court upheld in July, in a case against Texas A&M University.
