Texas A&M U. and Seattle Seahawks Settle Over Slogan
Texas A&M University has reached a settlement with the Seattle Seahawks over the use of the "12th Man" slogan that would allow the National Football League team to continue to use the phrase under license from the university.
The agreement, announced last week, ended a trademark-infringement lawsuit filed by Texas A&M in January. The "12th Man," commonly used in football, refers to loyal fans who cheer on the 11 players on the field.
