Terrorist Attacks and Recession Deal Double Blow to Executive-Education Programs
One of the nation's most successful providers of executive education, Duke Corporate Education, has cut its work force and scaled back its revenue projections because of the fallout from the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The private, for-profit company that was spun off from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business last year cut about 10 of its 77 full-time employees in October. All are expected to be reassigned to other jobs at Duke.
Many of Duke's clients are skittish
