Tennessee State University, a historically black institution, has named its first white “Mr. TSU.” According to the Black College Wire, Stephen Morrison, a senior, won the title after a recalculation of votes displaced the initial victor. Tennessee’s decades-long college-desegregation lawsuit was finally settled this fall, and in recent years the university has admitted more white students, who now account for just under a quarter of the enrollment.
