Technology in Liberal-Arts Curriculum Urged
"Is a liberal arts education as we know it today adequate to provide our young people the requisite skills for life in today's world?"
The Council of Independent Colleges, an organization of private liberal-arts colleges, thinks it is not. Liberal-arts education must incorporate the study of technology, the council says in a new report, if the United States is to "hold its place in an increasingly complex and competitive international world."
