Technology: Safeguarding Networks Is Priority No. 1
Protecting data and networks from hackers and thieves will continue to be a priority for college technology leaders in 2006.
Computer security is likely to be the most important information-technology concern in the next two to three years, said 30.4 percent of information-technology administrators who participated in 2005 in the Campus Computing Project, an annual survey of how colleges use information technology. In 2003 the figure was 21.2 percent.
