Technology Grants Assist Black, Hispanic, and Tribal Colleges
The National Science Foundation will spend $6-million over four years to improve Internet connections for historically black colleges, institutions that serve Hispanic students, and American Indian colleges.
EDUCAUSE, a non-profit association that promotes the expanded use of information technology in education, will play a key role in administering the project. Rita R. Colwell, director of the N.S.F., announced the grant here last month at EDUCAUSE's annual meeting.
