Teaching Hospitals Back Bill to Increase Medicare Reimbursements

Advocates for teaching hospitals hope that an Internet-based campaign to increase health spending will relieve the recent financial ills of the medical centers.

The Association of American Medical Colleges, the American Hospital Association, and other groups last week urged their members to send a prepared e-mail message to lawmakers asking for larger federal reimbursements for medical care for the uninsured.
