Teaching Assistants Vow to Resume Strike at U. of California

Teaching assistants vowed to resume their strike against the University of California System after a 45-day "cooling-off" period ended last week with the labor dispute still unresolved.

In December, graduate-student employees on eight campuses in the U.C. system struck, demanding that the administration recognize and bargain with their union, an affiliate of the United Auto Workers. The strike was suspended
