American Military University has been educating servicemen and women since 1991.
It is part of the for-profit American Public University System, an entirely online program that now has more than 70,000 military and civilian students. Other online programs focus on military personnel, but American Military officials say its course offerings, admissions officers, and faculty members—many of whom have served in the armed forces—are especially attuned to these students' needs.
