Syracuse U. Will Close Its Nursing School
Syracuse University will close its nursing school by the end of the 2005-6 academic year.
The December decision, which stems from financial troubles and years of declining enrollments, comes at a time when applications to nursing schools around the country are starting to rebound. In addition, the nation is facing a severe shortage of nurses.
Applications to Syracuse's undergraduate program edged up slightly this year, reflecting the national trend, and many faculty members
