Sylvan Will Shed Its Tutoring Business to Focus on Higher Education
Sylvan Learning Systems has announced that it will sell all of its operations related to elementary and secondary education, transforming it into a purely higher-education company. In selling those businesses, including the tutoring business for which it has long been known, the company will now focus on two of its fastest-growing lines of business: online education and its network of international universities.
