Sylvan Learning Systems to Acquire National Technological U.

Sylvan Learning Systems Inc. will acquire National Technological University, a major provider of engineering and technical degrees through distance education.

The company sought NTU for its expertise in engineering, said Steve Drake, vice president for communications at Sylvan. The sale is expected to be completed by late summer.
