Sylvan Buys Institutions in Switzerland and Mexico
Sylvan Learning Systems is extending its reach in international higher education, announcing last month that it plans to buy a controlling interest in one of Mexico's largest private universities and full ownership of a Swiss hotel-management school.
Sylvan said it would not disclose the financial terms of either sale until the deals were final and regulatory issues were resolved.
