Survey of Students Finds Napster Music-Sharing Can Hurt or Help Sales
In the latest part of its effort to shut down the music-sharing program Napster, the recording industry has released a survey of college students that suggests that their use of Napster depresses music sales.
A report on the telephone survey, conducted last month for the Recording Industry Association of America by Field Research Corporation, was submitted as part of a motion, filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, to shut down Napster.
