Surges in Freshman Enrollment Leave Many Colleges Surprised
While campus officials are pleased, many struggle to find housing for unexpected students
Freshman enrollments at many colleges and universities are larger than they have been in several years, and the increases have surprised some college administrators.
The gains have been caused, in part, by increases in the number of high-school graduates. More than 2.7 million students were projected to graduate
