Supreme Court Decision Shoots Down a Gun Ban and Raises Questions for College Campuses

The Supreme Court's landmark ruling overturning the city of Washington's ban on the individual possession of handguns could have broad implications for colleges and universities that bar students from having guns on campus.

The court's decision on Thursday was the first in history to declare that the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment protects an individual's right to keep a gun and does not just protect the right of states to maintain armed militias.
