Supreme Court Refuses Appeal on Internet Fund
The Supreme Court last week refused to hear an appeal of a lower-court decision allowing the National Science Foundation to collect fees from the registration of Internet addresses and to use the money to improve the infrastructure of the Internet.
The action, made without comment by the justices, let stand N.S.F.'s collection and distribution of more than $60-million from the registration and renewal of domain names, or Internet addresses.
