Summit to Discuss Spellings Report
Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings plans to hold a summit this month with higher-education leaders to discuss ways to carry out the recommendations of her Commission on the Future of Higher Education.
The under secretary of education, Sara Martinez Tucker, filled in the details in an interview last month. She said the summit would be held in Washington on March 22 and would include some 300 selected participants from the worlds of academe, business, philanthropy, and elementary
