Sudden Draining of 2 Lakes Said to Have Caused Prehistoric Global Cooling
The most abrupt, widespread cooling of earth during the past 10,000 years occurred when an ice dam blocking the water of two giant lakes collapsed and sent the water rushing into Canada's Hudson Strait 8,200 years ago.
