Success for Professors at Community Colleges
To the Editor:
Robert Drago assumes that all women academics aspire to do research at a handful of elite universities ("Harvard and the Academic Glass Ceiling," Careers, March 30), and that success is measured by "a tenure-track position of the sort [Harvard President Drew Gilpin] Faust held at the University of Pennsylvania." He cites the large number of women consigned to adjunct positions and remarks, "I have never met a contingent faculty member who moved onto the tenure track,
