Subdued Mood Pervades Meeting of For-Profit Colleges, Except for the Mermaid
Concern over the political and public scrutiny on for-profit colleges was evident among attendees the annual convention of the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities in Las Vegas. Outside the convention hotel, a couple dozen protesters braved blistering heat to press their points. Some carried messages on umbrellas.
