Studying Popular Culture

It was with great interest that I read the comments about popular-culture studies in the article "In Chicago, Defending the Traditional Curriculum" (April 30). Having attended meetings of the Popular Culture Association and the American Culture Association for the last 25 years, I cannot say that I agree with Sanford Pinsker and Roger Kimball.
