Study May Indicate the Region of the Brain Where Moral Reasoning Is Performed
A study of two adults who as infants suffered injuries in the front portions of their brains has found that their moral reasoning was permanently impaired.
The research suggested, the scientists said, that morals may be based in the region of the brain known as the prefrontal cortex.
Antonio R. Damasio, a professor of neurology at the University of Iowa's medical school, and his colleagues there, published the study in the November issue of Nature
