Study Documents Secondhand Impact of Binge Drinking
Binge drinkers don't make good neighbors. People who live within a mile of college campuses are more than twice as likely as those who live farther away to experience public disturbances as a result of student binge drinking, according to a report on new findings by the Harvard School of Public Health. A study to be published this month in the journal Social Science & Medicine also finds that neighbors of "high binge" colleges suffer secondhand effects associated with alcohol use
