Students in Several States Lobby to Maintain Access to Polls

Sydney Jordan has made students' voting rights her top priority this summer. A rising senior at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, she is canvassing local neighborhoods to argue against a state-constitutional amendment on voter identification on the ballot in November. If it passes, she says, out-of-state students like her won't be able to vote where they're enrolled, and as a result may not vote at all.
