Students at Spelman College, the historically black women’s college in Atlanta, are sick of reporters asking how race and gender influence the students’ decisions in the presidential race. “It’s kind of insulting,” said Chanon Bell, a sophomore from Dallas. “Why is it,” she asked, “that because I’m a black woman, the reason why I’m voting for someone has to be because they share” her race or gender?
