Students Shape a Renovation
Adam Bridge, an architect at Ayers/Saint/Gross, says it is not uncommon for college officials to ask students what they want in a building. But the gesture is mainly political, he says, and when he meets with students, usually in large groups, a few outspoken and opinionated students dominate the conversation.
His meeting with students at the University of Rochester, gathered in small groups by an anthropologist, was unlike anything he had experienced.
