Students Rate the Vice-Presidential Candidate's Wife

Voters are beginning to size up Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr., who accepted the Democratic nomination for vice president last night at the party’s convention in Denver.

But more than a dozen students at Delaware Technical and Community College have already had their say about Mr. Biden’s wife, Jill, who teaches English at the college’s Stanton/Wilmington campus. And their conclusions, on the Rate My Professors Web site, are generally good.

Mrs. Biden’s overall rating is 3.6 on a scale of 1 to 5, with 11 of 16 responses ranking her as a “Good Quality” instructor.

Her lowest grade was in “Average Easiness,” where respondents gave her a 2.9 out of 5. Her grades for clarity and helpfulness matched her overall rating.
