Students Differ by Race in Their Contact With Professors
Although African-American students have more contact with their professors, white students find faculty members more approachable, understanding, and encouraging, according to a new study.
Over all, white students reported the most satisfactory relationships with their professors, followed by Latino students.
African-Americans, by contrast, are more likely to find faculty members remote, discouraging, and unsympathetic.
