Student Violence Rocks Madras
Students in the southern Indian city of Madras staged demonstrations last month to demand the suspension of police officers responsible for an attack on students at the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College. Dozens of students were sent to the hospital, some with head injuries and broken bones, after police officers broke down a gate and entered dormitories.
