Student Teacher Settles Whistle-Blower Suit
A student teacher who said she was flunked because she had reported class prayers and Bible studies at her assigned public elementary school has reached a settlement with Southeastern Louisiana University and a local school district, the American Civil Liberties Union announced this month.
Southeastern Louisiana will replace the failing grade on Cynthia Thompson's transcript with a W for withdrawal and will allow her to re-enroll in the teacher-education program — the same
