Student Station at Michigan State U. Broadcasts in High-Definition Signals
Heavy-metal distortion has never sounded clearer in East Lansing. Michigan State University's student-run radio station is now broadcasting in digital, high-definition radio signals.
Only about 200 radio stations in the country broadcast in high-definition signals, and most are major commercial outfits. But the technology is catching on. Three big broadcasting companies -- Clear Channel, Cox, and Entercom -- may set up as many as 1,500 stations with high-definition signals
