Student Kidnappers From U. of Virginia Plead Guilty

Two Chinese students at the University of Virginia pleaded guilty on Wednesday to kidnapping another Chinese last fall and holding him for a $500,000 ransom, The Washington Post reported this morning. The kidnappers, both engineering students at UVa, were quickly foiled by police officers in Fairfax County, Va., and the victim was released unharmed. The students face 20 years to life in prison when they are sentenced, in June. —Andrew Mytelka
