Student Body Packs On Pounds at Utah Valley State College

Nearly half the students at Utah Valley State College are overweight, and 80 percent eat non-nutritious diets, The Daily Herald, a local newspaper, reported today, citing results of the college’s Health Risk Appraisal from 2003 through 2006.

“Students are getting worse and worse,” said a campus health official quoted in the article. “Health habits are just going down, down, down, and a lot of it comes from what students are eating and a lack of exercise.”
