Student Aid for Distance Education

To the Editor:

We are concerned that The Chronicle's January 19 article on possible student-aid changes ("Education Dept. Told That Aid Rules Impede Distance Education") will mislead or confuse readers about the issues discussed at the Department of Education's recent meeting on distance learning and other issues related to nontraditional education.
