Stimulus Bill Would Extend Tax Credit to More Students
Almost four million lowand middle-income students would become eligible for a tuition tax break under economic-stimulus legislation before Congress, according to an analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Those students cannot benefit from the existing Hope tax credit for tuition because they do not pay income taxes.
