Stem-Cell Institute Challenged in Calif.
Three advocacy groups, one with links to a Christian organization, have filed a pair of lawsuits aimed at dismantling the $3-billion stem-cell-research institute that California voters approved in November. The suits, filed in the California Supreme Court, allege that the institute's governance and conflict-of-interest rules do not comply with state law.
