BUDGET BUSTERS: The Nevada System of Higher Education's Board of Regents has directed the presidents of its eight colleges to develop plans to cut textbook prices on their campuses. The regents themselves have little control over how textbooks are priced at campus bookstores, but hope that campus officials can find ways to make books cheaper, such as asking professors to make reading lists available in time for students to shop around.
