AFFIRMATIVE-ACTION POLL: In a recent poll of likely voters in Michigan, 48 percent of respondents said they opposed a ballot measure that would amend the state's Constitution to prohibit the use of racial and gender preferences in college admissions as well as in hiring decisions by government agencies, including public colleges.
